There are lots of ways to study, but which work the best? We are all different, after all. Let's at least have a look at five things you must absolutely be when it comes to studying, regardless of your personal preferences:
1. Time Manager: We all love fun things, and we all have many things we would rather be doing than studying. However, the best students are ultimate time managers; they still do fun things, but they are as strict to their study schedule as an army is to it's battle plan.
2. Respectful: Unfortunately, bias in marking exists all the time. If your teacher likes you, you are at an advantage. This doesn't mean to 'suck-up', teachers can see right through that. Rather, it can literally be as simple as taking up the motto "I will listen to my teacher and do everything that they say"
3. Tech-Smart: We are given the chance almost every lesson to use technology wisely, or to just switch over the YoutTube tab. This is a powerful choice, and the best students...well you know what option the best students would take.
4. Calm: Exams can be stressful, but the best students know that ATAR is far from being the definitive number in their life. Accept that the most you can do is try, and the result that comes on that piece of paper is out of your control.
5. (genuinely) goal-oriented: Everyone has goals, from Olympians to amateurs. The real difference is that one just has the goal, but one lives the goal. For example, almost everyone has a goal of a good ATAR, but the best students actually think every day "what have others done to get this ATAR in the past" and then action these ideas.
